the freedom of expression - where do u draw the line

The recent controversies like James Watson, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA & Nobel laureate, shocked the world with his remark that Black people were intellectually inferior to white people because of their genetic makeup. Closer to home, filmmaker Deepa Mehta's film 'Fire" was targetted by Hindu activists in Hyderabad and screenings disrupted.

Though both the scientist and the director would defend themselves on the ground of freedom of speech and expression, what we need to ask ourselves is that, is freedom an individual right or universal in nature. Is it just only about me and you or we and us?

Each one of us is fighting for our freedom, some of us fighting for women’s freedom, some fighting for the freedom to wear whatever they like in colleges, some are fighting for the freedom of their state, and some are fighting for using cell phones in schools. Each one of us demands freedom, but how many of us want to respect others freedom at the same time.

If the scientist is free to speak about his research, is it not his responsibility to respect the freedom of the community he is talking about? What about their freedom of this particular community’s students to go to schools and not treated as dumb heads?

And if the director has the freedom to showcase the brutalities done by the Hindu community to the widows in certain era, how about respecting the freedom of the Hindus of today, who would not like to be showed as tormenters.

The whole idea of freedom of speech and expression can work in a broad minded and open society, who is ready to respect each other. To first exercise this right, we need to understand and accept each other’s qualities and discrepancies, flaws and perfections. We need to educate ourselves to come out of our small ambit of thoughts and acknowledge others with open minds. We can very well safe guard our traditions and thoughts, if we allow others to do the same.

Just imagine, if we can achieve this, we can avoid conflicts, disagreements, arguments, fights, battles and Wars. If some fundamentalists can accept the ideas of other community as well, we can even do away with terrorism. This however is a distant dream, but to come to reality, all these bigger conflicts and problem start with a small demand of freedom, which is suppressed. So if we stop suppressing and start accepting each other’s right to freedom may be we can achieve these distant dreams as well.

hmmm so situation is like this...
here is u thinkin that world has gud and bad.... but u r a staunch beleiver in being gud... being honest... doin gud... bla bla bla... bla bla bla..... and u trust that the notion "ache logo k saath acha hi hota hai".... ("good things happen to gud ppl"......)

n here is a Mr X who is a master of arts.... in doing both gud n bad... manipulates... articulates.... exaggerates... n hell knows wat...... but the world believes him( for i dunno wat strange reason)

So u(gudy gudy) meets this amasingly smart Mr X... u fall for this person...becoz u saw jst the gud of this person... however soon...thankfully... the rationality in u stands tall... tells u that this is jst a garb.... ur rationality makes u see... his scary sticky teethy grin.....(oh gosh)

u step back..... take a gud look at urself.... if u r fine... and not under the influence of this attractive Mr X.... and swear to stay away....

but but but..... life is not that simple my frend.... that sticky grin doesnt leave u... infact it makes a point to take a revenge.... (not overtly ofcourse)

so again he manipulates... articulates...exaggerates.... n hell knows wat.... in his own sweet manner....

So wat do u do now..... ur frends also sadly come from that world.... start takin u as an ass....ppl whome u care for... respect.. think u r an ass.... (thts a bad feelin i kno) but then wats the solution???? wat do u do????

the answer is simple..... ur notion my frend is actually universally true..."ache logo k saath acha hota hai..." ("good happens to good ppl") (sory for sounding filmy but its true..:-I)

before i start colouring ur n my life into colours... let me tell you that this is the statement given by our beloved teacher.... who wants us to accept anything and everything (in the proffession of journalism particularly) in the name of god.

actually... what she exactly meant was life isnt black (bad) n white (pure) but a middle way thats a mixture of both... a divine colour called grey... which encompasses everything is this cosmos...

gosh... this sounds like some preachin.. (but hey these are not my words... becoz my preaching is about to come... so beware....)

ya so for the starters i really dont agree with the saying....
becos for me it has to be black or white.... or else when can we actually understand the difference between good n bad...????

or

If we accept everything( particularly the black jst as we accept white) wont it be really confusing???

how will we feel love for something white n hatred for somethin black...??

n if we stop doin that... wont we stop feeling n emoting?

n just for a thought to ponder... the divine colour grey... also stands for the grey matter in our heads which gives us the strength to actually sieve black from white... isnt it???

human - is a multispecie animal...

So the title of my blog may sound scientific and absurd, but trust me I really want to show you a different specie. A specie whom I call a more advanced specie of humans... a so called apt specie for this new proffessional era.

So let me tell you how do they look , but wait, they don`t look different, they look like the old version only. then what is the difference???? hmmmmmmmmm...

The difference lies in the brain. they have a much advanced brain which has a bigger memory size for lies, deceit, and ya amasing PR skills. they would sweep u away from your feet and u wont even come to know. So now do you realise which specie am I talking about????

If not, then let me explain you their modus operandi... so that next time you come accross them, you dont get caught up in the trap...

so here it goes -
* they make you think that they are the god`s hatest child on the earth. So that you have a sense of strong sympathy for them.

*They will tell you everything is happening and happened in their life but trust me its just a tactic to know urs. The catch - they are not telling truth about themselves... (wink...)

* observe the body language -you get loads of hugs and kisses from them... but trust me they are a masters in showering love as they are self crowned new GODS.

* they have a big broad smile when they see you for the first time... and then when you become closer to them (remember you told them everythin about yourself???) all you will see is their tears and tears and tears...

*they are master in communication through every medium. they use letters to messages to email to show you they care.

So how do you prevent yourself???-

* Gosh stay away from over cuddly cuddly people... trust me nobody wants to cuddle you the first time you meet them.

*Do not think that they are really caring when they send u letters n messages n emails and god knows what.... these are all the tactics to kno ur secrets.... and built there PR

* Do not tell your secrets to people who show they are emotionally the weakest. You may think that they wont tell anybody as they are themselve soooooooo down... but but but... they will use your secrets to become closer to other people. So beware...

I hope my experience and advise will spread awareness among the still old version of humanity...
